The purpose of this study was to systematically review articles related to ‘Sambo Temple Pilgrimage’ published in Korea to confirm the importance of Sambo Temple Pilgrimage as revealed in the media. To this end, 47 articles published in Korea from September to November 2021 were selected and analyzed using the method of systematic literature review. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the newspapers that published articles related to Sambo Temple Pilgrimage, it was found that many articles were published in the ‘Modern Buddhist Newspaper’. In addition, as a result of classifying the topics of the articles based on the titles of the articles and the summary of the articles by the research team of this study, ‘The meaning and value of Sambo Temple Pilgrimage’ and ‘Interviews with people related to Sambo Temple Pilgrimage’ were the most common. Second, as a result of analyzing the frequency of core keywords in articles related to the Sambo Temple pilgrimage, ‘Sambo Temple Thousand-mile Pilgrimage’ was the most frequent, followed by ‘Buddhist Revival’, ‘Sangwolgyeolsa’, and ‘Pilgrimage’. Based on these results, implications and discussions on the importance of the Sambo Temple pilgrimage revealed in the media were presented.
